School Outreach Service
Our School Outreach Service can work in many ways appropriate to each individual case. The way we can deliver our 1-1 wellbeing services can be made flexible, virtual, in person, in the home or in school.

Life Skills Hub offers options of support for children and young people across a wide range of SEND needs from early years to post 16. The basis of our packages is to encourage and improve an individual’s attendance within school. Whilst doing this we work to upskill and build on resilience and life skills. Within our work we aim to improve emotional regulation to minimise behavioural disruption and improve understanding of complex, social, emotional and mental health needs.

As part of the school outreach service Life Skills Hub offer robust support to parents and carers of the young people we are working with and back this up with carefully managed recording and monitoring documentation.
Hi, my name is Michelle. I love working for Life Skills Hub. It is such a privilege to work with children and their families. I am the Outreach Service Team Manager and Safeguarding Lead for Life Skills Hub. My role is to support practitioners in their roles to help us to all achieve the very best for the children and young people we work with. I also provide specialist wellbeing interventions working in schools, the family home and in the community helping students when they are going through a difficult time, managing high anxieties and/or complex special educational needs and/or disabilities.

I am passionate about working with children, being their advocate and assisting them to achieve their full potential. I love to help children to develop their confidence, independence, self-care and life skills. This will help them to lead a fulfilling and productive life within their community and environment.

In my spare time, I love spending time with friends and family. As a family we enjoy spending time together whether that is in the home or out in the community playing games, travelling, activity days and watching my own children play within their own sporting teams.
Hi I am Sara and I am mum to a young son and we have a young dog. We enjoy family time that consists of creating memories, from baking to building Lego to days out. I value social time to connect with friends and family.

I believe in the concept of early intervention and prevention; I am passionate about understanding the world of each child or young person and supporting them in the way that encourages autonomy and validates their feelings with compassion and warmth. I am pleased to be working with Life Skills Hub as I share their belief of Children and Young People's wellbeing being at the heart of all they do.

I feel working with children and young people is a rich rewarding experience, responding to and exploring what they might be communicating through their behaviour and play. I love working creatively with age-appropriate interventions. Anything creative that builds trust, engages and encourages each child and young person to feel empowered and validated.
Hi I am Dan and in my free time I really enjoy travelling to new cities or places, with my friends or by myself, to experience new things. I usually take my camera to capture memories and to use for social media. I'm always trying to think outside of the box to try to capture something that's unique.

Recently I have learned to snowboard and my goal is to keep improving my technique slowly but surely. Practice makes progress. This hobby to me is all about taking it slow and appreciating the journey.

I'm excited to be working at Life Skills because I quickly realised that education needs to be more flexible than it ever has been. This is because every person has specific needs and here at Life Skills we can tailor the experience to suit the individual.
Hi I'm Louise. I am excited to be working for and be a part of Life Skills Hub and the services they offer to children and young people.

My focus has always been on child centred education and the pastoral care involved in working with children and young adults and building relationships. I enjoy being outdoors in the garden, running or just appreciating nature and the world around us. I am mindful of the therapeutic effect pets can have on us have been known to talk about my guineapigs, on occasion! I recognise the benefit of being mindful after completing a mindfulness course and try to build this into my day. I also enjoy singing in my Church music group and being a part of my church family.
Hi I'm Gemma and in my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends going for long walks and stopping for a coffee and cake along the way. To look after my own mental health, I enjoy going to the gym. Whether this is involves throwing some weights around or tiring my legs on a spin bike I always feel better afterwards. If I want something a little more relaxing, I pick up my kindle and curl up with a good crime novel and some chocolate.

I am very excited to now be working for Life skills Hub and helping them on their journey to support young people with their mental health and wellbeing. I have a genuine interest in supporting young people and their families to feel safe, happy, confident and empowering them to thrive.

Currently I am working as a Specialist Wellbeing Practitioner supporting young people with their social, emotional and mental health. Each young person ’s package is tailored to their needs and interests so that it gives them the best opportunity to meet their needs.
Hello and welcome! I'm Luke - Director and Specialist Wellbeing Manager at Life Skills Hub. I set up Life Skills in February 2020 and welcomed Tasha on board in January 2021 and we work closely together as Co-Directors of the business.

A bit about me:
I enjoy watching live theatre, performing in theatres (particularly musicals) singing (particularly something with soul!), travelling, spa days, complimentary therapies, home improvements, spending time with family and friends and adventures! I also love relaxing, body stretch, becoming engrossed in a good series on TV, swimming and I particularly enjoy Greek, Mexican, Italian, and Thai food (perhaps a fusion of all 4?).  I love time with family and friends and making memories. Whilst some of my role is serious and involves things like; decision making and analytical thought - I thrive off connectivity, creativity, and fun!  I usually sport colourful clothing and feel comfortable and grounded without shoes on. I enjoy networking and being connected with others.

I love studying and finding out new facts, developing skills and I'm on a journey about understanding myself intrinsically. I have always been very interested in what makes people 'Tick' and in psychology. I have graduated in theatre studies, law and more recently as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. At LSH we are firm believer in CPD, and insights training can bring. I reflect on arrange of skills learnt from a varied career, including in leading Inclusion across multiple specialist schools, working within NHS Mental Health Teams, SEND/disability charities, advocacy, safeguarding, legal advice and student wellbeing.

Hi I am Ellie. I am a mum of three girls aged 5,6 and 19, they keep me busy! When I get any 'me' time I enjoy meeting up with friends, going to the gym or swimming. Our weekends are usually filled with play dates with friends, children's parties and dance class.

I love being outside in nature and out at the coast near the sea, this is a reset for me from the chaos of everyday life.

I'm passionate about bringing my therapeutic skills and experience to Life Skills Hub because I can share, learn and explore existing and new skills alongside students to help them manage their anxiety in social situations and also build their confidence.
