OUR STORY
Hello and welcome! I'm Luke - Director and Specialist Wellbeing Manager at Life Skills Hub. I set up Life Skills in February 2020 and welcomed Tasha on board in January 2021 and we work closely together as Co-Directors of the business.

A bit about me:
I enjoy watching live theatre, performing in theatres (particularly musicals) singing (particularly something with soul!), travelling, spa days, complimentary therapies, home improvements, spending time with family and friends and adventures! I also love relaxing, body stretch, becoming engrossed in a good series on TV, swimming and I particularly enjoy Greek, Mexican, Italian, and Thai food (perhaps a fusion of all 4?).  I love time with family and friends and making memories. Whilst some of my role is serious and involves things like; decision making and analytical thought - I thrive off connectivity, creativity, and fun!  I usually sport colourful clothing and feel comfortable and grounded without shoes on. I enjoy networking and being connected with others.

I love studying and finding out new facts, developing skills and I'm on a journey about understanding myself intrinsically. I have always been very interested in what makes people 'Tick' and in psychology. I have graduated in theatre studies, law and more recently as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. At LSH we are firm believer in CPD, and insights training can bring. I reflect on arrange of skills learnt from a varied career, including in leading Inclusion across multiple specialist schools, working within NHS Mental Health Teams, SEND/disability charities, advocacy, safeguarding, legal advice and student wellbeing.
Hi, I'm Tasha, Director and Specialist Wellbeing Manager at Life Skills Hub Limited. On a day to day basis I am responsible for a number of exciting things with running the company but what I love to do is be out and about working very closely with James, Nicci and John who head up the Therapeutic Centre, Employability and Forest Skills.

My specialism is in working with young people with autism and anxiety/depression. I focus on delivering 1-1 specialist sessions with children and young people with complex social/emotional mental health needs mostly in the community but I am lucky enough to have worked with some of our young people for long enough that they have progressed to either our Employability service or I have helped them transition into their next step. It is so exciting to see young people flourish and spread their wings.

My passion is health and wellbeing, I am trained in mindfulness and it ’s a technique I use myself every day. In my spare time you will find me walking, running, or cycling. I love a challenge and pair this with focusing on raising money for children's charities in my spare time, some of these exciting things include abseiling and wing walking! I love the ethos of placing a child or young person at the centre of the work we do, and Life Skills Hub achieves that time and time again.

I am a Very positive person who believes we are all capable of living our best lives, sometimes with a little help along the way. I love to laugh and share that laughter with family, friends and those around us lifting our spirits and giving joy and happiness. It heals our soul and brings peace to our heart, a simple thing, but yet so powerful. My beautiful home and garden are the key to my wellbeing. Taking timeout to connect with nature in my garden and appreciate all the positive energy it has to share with me is my favourite pastime. I also enjoy walks in the countryside with my family and friends, yoga and Pilates, music and meditation. Life is truly precious, and I feel very privileged to be working alongside such wonderful people who really want to make a difference to the young people in our area.
Hi I am Katy. I am a friendly and bubbly person and I am really excited about the services offered by Life Skills Hub. have been lucky enough to work with children, young people and their families in a range of roles.

I have worked within the statutory, voluntary and education sector. Each role has enabled me to support children and young people with complex needs to achieve their aspirations, this is something that I am really passionate about. I have a keen interest in supporting young people who are care experienced and those who have experienced trauma within their lives.

Outside of work I am doing my hypnotherapy qualifications and used to dabble in resin craft and metal detecting.
Hi, I'm Elly. I absolutely love working with Life Skills Hub. I am the Services Manager. This is where I look after all the services within Life Skills and make sure what we are delivering is the right package for each individual.

I have had a few, diverse careers which I have absolutely loved and use all these experiences to help the individuals I work with. This started as being a Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy where I travelled to many different places all over the world, then as a Fitness Instructor and Children’s’ Activities Co-ordinator, to working as a Teaching Assistant and quickly realising that I wanted to teach! I qualified as a teacher in 2010.

I really enjoy keeping fit with exercise classes, running and cycling and also love singing. You’ll often find me trying to grow things in my garden at the weekends.
Hi, my name is Sherrelle and I joined Life Skills Hub as the Administrator and PA. I have worked in this sector since leaving school and worked in various industries along the way. I am very proud to be part of the Life Skills Hub team as I believe they are making a huge difference to so many young people’s lives. Something I wish was available when I was younger.

I have two small children who take up most of my time and as a family we enjoy walking our little chihuahua dog Edward and camping. I like reading and watching murder dramas.
Hi, I am Wendy. In my spare time I enjoy walking my three Labradors in the countryside around my home. I have a large garden that I love spending time in, and it takes a lot of time to keep it nice! I read a lot, mainly crime and action fiction. Also, I knit and crochet garments for my granddaughter. Spending time with my husband and wider family always gives me pleasure. I do yoga and attend a class weekly which really helps me to relax and reset.

I believe in the work that Life Skills Hub do and hope I can contribute in some small way even as an administrator in the background. Everyone's wellbeing should always be a priority especially children and young adults and Life Skills Hub make this their goal.

I have a long history of administrative and process development roles which I hope to utilise in my new role with Life Skills Hub. Before I worked in admin, I trained as a Registered Mental Nurse and hopefully this background will help give me more understanding of what Life Skills Hub can achieve.
Hi my name is Danielle In my spare time I love to be in the garden, feeding chickens or growing produce. We spend a lot of time in the garden as a family on the weekends if we aren't out and about in the countryside exploring, hiking, and making adventures. I enjoy cooking, hunting for treasure at car boot sales, vintage clothing and my guilty pleasure is reality TV! I’m really excited to be welcomed onto the Life skills Hub team after learning about each service I think the work the team does is amazing, and everybody involved should be so proud to be shaping the lives of young people. I'm currently employed as personal administrator to Elly the Services Manager, I can't wait to get to grips with the role! It’s a completely new industry for me so I am open to learning about everything and taking in as much information as possible.
Hi I am Samantha. In my spare time I like to cook, my kitchen is my haven, full of all sorts of gadgets and gizmo's to help me make culinary delights for my family, Jamie Oliver is my go to chef (I have nearly all his books). I have recently started to grow my own vegetables and there is nothing nicer than cooking with food you have grown.

I enjoy the occasional open water swimming session and I have recently started to learn how to play the piano. I believe it is important to treat each young person as an individual and that is what Life Skills does, learning is led by their interests which makes learning and achieving a positive experience, a safe space to explore the world, I wish it had been here when I or even my children were growing up.

The role of Life Skills Hub receptionist is very new to meas I previously worked as a teaching assistant, and swimming teacher but as my family grew up, I decided I needed a change, this has been challenging but rewarding and I love been part of the Life Skills Hub family, it is a caring and fun place with lots of laughter. Part of my role involves looking at work the young people have done and it is fantastic to see the variety of experiences and achievements they obtain with their amazing practitioners. I look forward to many more years of laughter with the young people and team at Life Skills Hub.
Hi I'm Temi. In my spare time, I really enjoy writing poetry or just taking a walk hoping to meet some cute dogs along the way. I prioritize taking care of myself and on weekends you would usually find me indulging in DIY beauty treatments or binge-watching horror movies.

I am passionate about bringing my marketing skills and experience to Life Skills Hub because I believe I can contribute to creating awareness and accessibility for valuable resources that can help people manage anxiety, build social connections, and enhance personal growth. I firmly believe that young people should be seen, heard, and valued, and I am enthusiastic about being part of a team that advocates for their well-being and development.

Over the years, I have been able to tell impactful stories for brands across the Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail, Sustainability, Media and Technology industries. I am committed to effectively communicating the mission and impact of Life Skills Hub, helping to reach even more individuals who can benefit from the amazing work that LSH does.
