Intense Outreach
Our Intense Outreach Service has multi-disciplinary Specialist Wellbeing Practitioners who work flexibly and relationally on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis with students aged 0-25 who have complex SEND needs, and/or experienced trauma or significant life events, and/or hold significant anxiety. Our Intense Outreach Service provides a high level of interactive support during sessions, providing support with wellbeing, social skills, life skill development, emotional regulation, coping strategies and works in a bespoke way addressing the goals and targets to help young people to succeed.

Our service can be used as an assessment service to build up a picture of the child's SEND and behavioural needs and we can support with transition to and from the next step or setting. We work closely with families, professionals and the child or young person. We can interweave educational readiness and work closely with tuition teams within LifeSkills Hub if this is required as part of the package.
Hi, my name is Michelle. I love working for Life Skills Hub. It is such a privilege to work with children and their families. I am the Outreach Service Team Manager and Safeguarding Lead for Life Skills Hub. My role is to support practitioners in their roles to help us to all achieve the very best for the children and young people we work with. I also provide specialist wellbeing interventions working in schools, the family home and in the community helping students when they are going through a difficult time, managing high anxieties and/or complex special educational needs and/or disabilities.

I am passionate about working with children, being their advocate and assisting them to achieve their full potential. I love to help children to develop their confidence, independence, self-care and life skills. This will help them to lead a fulfilling and productive life within their community and environment.

In my spare time, I love spending time with friends and family. As a family we enjoy spending time together whether that is in the home or out in the community playing games, travelling, activity days and watching my own children play within their own sporting teams.
Hello. I'm Craig. I am absolutely delighted to be a part of the team at Life Skills Hub! I have a real passion in life to see young people thrive and excel in their academic studies and social skills. I am a strong believer that in life kindness is the key to our mental health and we must embrace this with others at all times.

I am a massive Manchester Utd fan. I love football and sports in general. I am a keen runner. I recently ran for Mind charity in the Great North Run. Running is hugely important to me and keeps me mentally positive. In the past I have struggled with my own mental well-being. I like to be open about this and find other stories around mental health really interesting. Avid reader, especially Stephen King novels!

I come from a performance background and have a drama degree in Musical Theatre. I trained at the Guildford School of Acting and then worked professionally up and down the country on stage in various musicals. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat UK tour and Jesus Christ Superstar International tour in Germany. I have taught drama, showcasing and directing many productions with a good friend of mine. These include; Grease, Scrooge and Aladdin.
Hi My name is Danielle, I have lived in Hull most of my life. I have been fortunate enough to have positively impacted the lives of many individuals over my years and I look forward to continuing my journey with Life Skills Hub. I find that a combination of my skills, experience and interests allow me to subtly nurture the growth of a young person as they explore themselves and the world around them.

My background includes all things creative including performing arts, crafts, photography, film making, airbrush tattooing and much more. I am a professional mural artist and have created feature wall artwork for families, schools and charities all around Hull. I love enabling young people to explore themselves and their identity through varied activities and I work for those special moments that build a young person's self-esteem through positive experiences, small achievements and unlocking hidden talents. My ultimate belief is that young people need time, trust, the right environment, support, inspiration, and encouragement to develop the skills required to thrive. It is my role to facilitate this process based on individuals needs and targets and I do so with wholehearted commitment.
Hi I am Dan and in my free time I really enjoy travelling to new cities or places, with my friends or by myself, to experience new things. I usually take my camera to capture memories and to use for social media. I’m always trying to think outside of the box to try to capture something that’s unique.

Recently I have learned to snowboard and my goal is to keep improving my technique slowly but surely. Practice makes progress. This hobby to me is all about taking it slow and appreciating the journey.

I'm excited to be working at Life Skills because I quickly realised that education needs to be more flexible than it ever has been. This is because every person has specific needs and here at Life Skills we can tailor the experience to suit the individual.
Hello, my name is Lindsay, and I would like to tell you a little bit about me. I am married to my best friend and have two wonderful children. We are an active family who love attending music festivals, camping and walking. I love music, all music. It relaxes me and helps me switch off.

Over the years we have enjoyed taking part in various sporting activities. As we grow a little older with rickety knees, wet end to stick with walking, but we find the most beautiful parts of the country to walk through. Whilst we enjoy staying active, we also love a good series on Netflix.

I am passionate about children and young people having a voice. They need to be heard. With a therapeutic approach and starting with the well-being of a child means we can build a positive relationship, explore and help. Help them to feel valued, help them to understand its ok, not to be ok and to access education and prepare for their future. Trust is the key element to any relationship; I've found young people find it hard to trust adults due to the lack of time, understanding and patience. In my role working within the outreach team I endeavour to create a happy environment alongside a trusting relationship to help young people in all aspects of life.
Hi I'm Fran and I love reading, walking, hiking, discovering waterfalls, spending time with family and friends and cooking.

I'm a very positive person and always in a good mood with a very optimistic outlook in life. I'm passionate about working with Life Skills Hub as I have had life experiences that will help me help others and I would like to think I can help make a difference. I'm very confident and very much a people person.
Hi, I'm Grace.

I bring a lot of experience of SEND, working with children and young people, into this role. I previously worked at Bishop Burton as their SEND Officer, and I'm very familiar with the SEND system and what it takes to support children, young people and adults.

I've also worked as a personal assistant in care settings and as a Learning Mentor previously. I enjoyed studying at University of Hull for my geography degree.

I'm invested in supporting our students to achieve the very best and to overcome any barriers that may be in the way of achieving their goals and dreams.

I've always been intrigued by criminology and studies my undergrad in this area.  I'm a positive person with a positive outlook on life.
Hi I am Emma and I like to be active and enjoy going for walks with my dog, Sadie. I love animals and have three cats and two guineapigs as well as my dog. To relax I love to chill in my bed with a bit of Netflix's as my animals always like to join me.

I enjoy being outdoors, especially in the summer sunshine when I spend time reading in my garden. I am planning on joining my daughter in learning to walk on stilts this year, nothing to do with me being on the short side!

I enjoy working with young people and love seeing the confidence that grows when they have a trusted adult to lean on. I was shy and would avoid social situations as a teenager. I would have liked this to have been recognised rather than ignored and I hope I can help young people feel their importance, feel valued and listened too.
Hi, my name is Sam.

I enjoy being a member of Life Skills Hub, and enjoy being part of the team and the amazing support they offer to children and young people across the city. I am a bubbly and caring individual as well a shaving a compassionate nature. I am also fully focused, committed and dedicated to my job role. I have an exceptional attitude within everything that I do. I am very passionate about children and young people ’s wellbeing and have great enthusiasm in supporting them to reach their individual goals in life. I believe that children should be able to express their feelings freely and have the opportunity to be heard whilst building their confidence to enjoy life as they deserve. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking, going to the beach, going for a coffee and dining out at new places and meeting new people. I love animals, music, arts and crafts, nature and mindfulness, not only for myself, but also implementing this within my job roles.
Hi I am Chrissy and I’m very passionate about my work with the Life Skills Hub. I work among amazing people and even more amazing students.

In my spare time I love to go for walks in the woods and on the beach with my family and dog, Penny.

I am currently studying at Hull University for an BA Honours degree in Education Studies and love to challenge myself. When I have time, I love nothing more than curling up with a good book, watching a film or playing cards with my children. When I want to take time for myself, I enjoy putting my headphones on and listening to my favourite music.

I am enthusiastic about bringing my life experiences as a young carer to the Life Skills Hub. I am passionate about working with young people in relation to their mental, emotional, and social health. It is hard to be a young person today and every individual needs someone they can have confidence in and respect to work together and support each other along the way. I believe in autonomy, collaboration, and fun.
Hi I'm Gemma and in my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends going for long walks and stopping for a coffee and cake along the way. To look after my own mental health, I enjoy going to the gym. Whether this is involves throwing some weights around or tiring my legs on a spin bike I always feel better afterwards. If I want something a little more relaxing, I pick up my kindle and curl up with a good crime novel and some chocolate.

I am very excited to now be working for Life skills Hub and helping them on their journey to support young people with their mental health and wellbeing. I have a genuine interest in supporting young people and their families to feel safe, happy, confident and empowering them to thrive.

Currently I am working as a Specialist Wellbeing Practitioner supporting young people with their social, emotional and mental health. Each young person ’s package is tailored to their needs and interests so that it gives them the best opportunity to meet their needs.
Hi I am Emma. I am passionate about spending quality time with my family and we share many interests together. I have shown my children how to grow their own vegetables and then we enjoy trying out new recipes with our homegrown produce. I enjoy going to music concerts, camping and walking our dog(Fred) exploring the countryside and I love all forms of art and crafting.

When I need to take time to relax and treat myself to some self-care I like to listen to music, draw or curl up on the couch and watch a good movie. I have great motivation to work at Life Skills Hub to help support young people to develop and improve their social and emotional well-being. I am a friendly, positive person with a nurturing nature and take great pride in helping others. At school I was bullied and suffered emotionally because of this, there was no support for me at this time so I learnt to be very resilient and create a successful, happy life for myself and my children and I like to share my skills and knowledge and life experiences to help others.

I have experience working with young people across a wide age range as a qualified teaching assistant, I have worked with full school classes, small groups and 1-1 delivering support for social and emotional needs including anxiety and attachment difficulties along with other special needs. Previous to that I qualified as a horse-riding instructor and taught children and adults and RDA (riding for the disabled). I have always found working with young people very rewarding.
